DON'T we all just look forward to the day when we wake up and not have to worry about getting late for work, much less anticipate the tasks that lie ahead? I'm quite sure that most, if not all of us would share the same sentiments that we deserve that particular break once in a while.
I can say that I feel fortunate to belong to an institution that recognizes the essence of providing that much needed respite from the usual monotony, or worse, stress that we get from work.

The University of Baguio has always believed and encouraged the idea of a family among its employees and students. The founders have inculcated the values of working not just as a team but as a family. This is continuously being nurtured by the University hence it has always promoted activities that will keep on encouraging the spirit of oneness among those who are part of the school. The annual celebration of the UB Famers, Know Your Brood, and UBlympics, are just but a few of the activities done to promote camaraderie among co-employees. But probably one of the events that many would really look forward to is the summer outing for each office or department. It is that time to say goodbye, for even just a bit, to the desks and the classrooms as these excursions are mostly done out and far from town.
For this summer, the Offices of the Vice President of Administration and Vice President for Institutional Development decided to team up with those from the Review and Linkages Center and Audio-Visual Office for the team building. We chose a beach resort at San Fernando, La Union. It's summer after all and for us who live in Baguio where we see hills and experience the early morning chilliness every day, the beach is always at the top of our destination options. Even my boss was already painting this idyllic scene at the resort days before the set date -- dipping at the pool, playing with the waves, jamming, napping in the afternoon sunshine.
